"Light has always been more than illumination to me. It exists everywhere around us, yet what fascinates me is not light itself, but how design can transform it into something that evokes emotion, shapes atmosphere, and changes the way we experience a space. As a lighting artist and designer, I see every lighting piece as an opportunity to give light a new dimension. A well-designed lighting object does more than brighten a room, it can create wonder, invite interaction, tell a story, and become part of the emotional experience of a place. My inspiration comes from the world around me. I find it in the quiet glow before sunrise, the changing phases of the moon, the movement of the human body, the relationship between light and shadow, architecture, and the countless ways light exists in everyday life. These moments remind me that light is constantly present, yet its meaning can be endlessly reimagined What draws me to lighting design is its ability to unite two disciplines I deeply value: art and design. I believe lighting should be both functional and expressive, objects that serve a purpose while also inviting curiosity and emotional connection. Through my work, I hope people pause for a moment and see light differently. Not simply as something that helps us see, but as something that can shape memory, emotion, and human experience. "

Sanaz is a London based Awards Winning designer with a background in Lighting Design, Industrial Design, innovation design. Her practice explores the intersection of light, Product, art, and human experience, creating lighting that goes beyond illumination to evoke emotion, shape atmosphere, and transform the way people interact with space and storytelling. With a Master's degree in Design Innovation from Loughborough University London and more than a decade of design experience. Her work has received international recognition through more than 21 design awards across leading global competitions, including multiple Lighting Design Awards, establishing her as an internationally recognised award winning designer. She also serves as a Jury Member for the Design Awards, contributing to one of the world's largest international design competitions.
