Emergence is a large-scale sculptural string artwork created from silk thread and a cross-hatched welded steel framework. The piece explores the relationship between architecture, geometry, natural light, and human perception. Through carefully directed silk threads, the rigid steel structure is transformed into a layered visual field. Rather than creating volume through solid mass, the work builds a sense of dimension through tension, shadow, and the movement of light. As the viewer changes position, the artwork reveals shifting depths and new spatial relationships, making perception an active part of the experience. Inspired by architectural systems, fractal geometry, and the hidden patterns of nature, Emergence reflects the balance between precision and organic growth.
